In this document the following terms bear the following meanings:
“Agreement” – means any of the following credit products provided by RCI Banque Branch Ireland t/a Renault Finance: (i) Consumer Hire Purchase (ii) Leasing (iii) Business Hire Purchase
“SME Customer” – means and enterprise or business that employs fewer than 250 persons and which has an annual turnover not exceeding 50 million and/or an annual balance sheet total not exceeding €43 million.
“ We”, “us”, “our” , “Renault Finance” – means RCI Banque Branch Ireland, trading as Renault Finance
“ you”, “your”, “borrower” – means an SME Customer
If your Agreement falls into arrears, we will endeavour to seek out the best possible outcome for both parties. In such circumstances we generally:
We will endeavour to assist you in overcoming your arrears situation with us; this may include proposing a temporary or permanent repayment arrangement. However, in cases where you are un-willing to enter into any repayment arrangement we propose, in cases where no repayment arrangement is proposed, you may make an appeal to this decision in writing to our Credit Review Appeals Department at the below address.
It is of vital importance that you remain in constant contact and co-operate with us during any period where your account remains in arrears, or if you suspect that your account may fall into arrears in the near future.
Allowing your account to fall into, and remain, in arrears will have a negative effect on your credit rating. This will affect any future credit proposals with both us and other finance houses in a negative manner.
Please note that any steps outlined, proposed or other steps taken in such circumstances are without prejudice to our legal and/or regulatory obligations and/or legal rights arising from such circumstances. They are also dependant on your co-operation in meeting any requests we make of you relating to your arrears situation.

This calculation is based on requiring one or more minor services or one or more major services during the calendar year. It also calculates possible problems your car faces given all the information you've provided. I may outline that you’ll need to have elements fixed on your car. For example timing belt done at a cost of <€500> expected suspension repairs (shocks, springs, bushings, etc.) to cost you in the region of <€250>. These are assumptions based on information received from Motorcheck.ie.
Because a large proportion of mechanical faults are linked to the way the vehicle is used and the conditions it is driven in they are very difficult to predict. However using a simple mileage calculation we have provided an estimate of €250 for those unforeseen problems that can occur at any time. Renault mechanical faults are covered under their 3 and 5 year warranties.
Taking your cars age, fuel type and engine size we have approximated its fuel consumption to be a certain number of miles per gallon. With your expected mileage and a current fuel price be it petrol or diesel we are able to estimate your upcoming fuel spend.
You car will be due an NCT this year. The cost of this test is €55 but it would be safe to assume an additional €100 in pre-NCT repairs to ensure it passes.
Depreciation is an expense which reduces the value of an asset as a result of age and wear and tear. This calculation is based on the data received from motorcheck.ie.
The Guaranteed BuyBack for the car in the finance agreement can alleviate the concern for depreciation as the customer will receive at least this value at the end of the agreement. See Renault.ie/offers for a full breakdown of Renault’s PCP offers.
The content and accuracy of the Database provided for the Carculator is outside the control of Benchmark Automotive T/A Motorcheck.ie and the nature of the information in the Database is such that it is not appropriate for the Customer or any other person to make commercial decisions based solely on that information, and accordingly Benchmark Automotive does not warrant that the Database will meet the Customer’s requirements or be free of errors or omissions. Renault Ireland shall indemnify and keep indemnified Benchmark Automotive from and against all costs, claims, demands, liabilities, expenses, damages or losses (including without limitation any direct or indirect consequential losses, loss of profit and loss of reputation, and all interest, penalties and legal and other professional costs and expenses) arising out of or in connection with the Carculator.
Although measurements have been taken to ensure the accuracy of The Carculator, in the circumstances that an error may occur, Renault Ireland will not have any responsibility for error, omission or inaccuracy in the information caused by reliance on the material contained on this site.
